I posted a tweet only 33 minutes ago and it has already appeared in my Google Alerts (which is fed into my Google Reader), seen here:
33 minutes. That’s phenomenally quick for Google. I mean, we have a relatively untrafficked Twitter stream (for now! PageRank of 3 though). I didn’t even tag it with #nasa. That makes me think that Google showing some love for the new “pulse of the planet” that is Twitter, indexing it quickly and thoroughly and serving it up through all of its many many channels (in this case, Google Alerts). That’s good news for folks who are leveraging Twitter to drive public sentiment and attention.
